Greetings family and friends,

After many great experiences in New Zealand it was time to embark on a new journey; Fiji. After a short and much anticipated 3 hour flight, we arrived in Fiji! We started our time at the Bamboo Beach hostel outside of Nadi. Highlighted by kava ceremonies and picking out sulus in the city of Nadi, many group members got a taste of Fijian traditions. After a few relaxing days of hanging out and celebrating Bennett’s and Sarah’s birthdays, we departed for the Beachouse on the Coral Coast. Blake and Jess’s beach drawing birthday shout out and Haley and Madeleine’s friendship bracelets gifts highlighted the birthdays. Starting our free travel for the week, we were able to explore many activity options and decide what the group wanted to do. Free travel allowed the group to completely plan the week to get from Nadi to Suva. Whether it was a 4 hour trek to a waterfall in the rain forest or snorkeling in the crystal clear waters, we have made use of our free travel time. For those who have heard of the weather situation, the cyclone has not affected us at all besides some pretty rad waves on the boat. All in all, it has been a great start to our Fijian adventure.

Peace and love,
Walkabout
