Hey everybody! So I am Frodo Bloggins for the week and I’m blogging about our time with BMAC, Blue Mountain Adventure Centre. Anyways, where to begin? We did A LOT. My fellow Bilbo Bloggins will tell you more about our overall week, I am here to talk about my adventures rafting and hiking. So on our third day(?) with BMAC with a slight change in plans we went white water rafting, and oh was that water cold! It was a class 2+ rapids and I had both Evelina and Jessie as partners for each half of the rapid. Fortunately we didn’t flip unlike some other people. Near the end of the rapid we got to jump off a 10 foot rock into the rapid (sorry no photo of that). On our last full day with BMAC we had an option of either hiking or skiing. I wanted a calm day so I chose hiking. We hiked to Tarangi Falls and the hike there felt like we were walking through five different planets. We went through jungles, grasslands, what felt like a freezing sahara at one point. The waterfall was glacier runoff and it was sooooo blue. I would’ve died to go swimming in it, but alas I would’ve actually died from hypothermia the weather and water were so cold. Anyways the Walkabout group has finished its first week and I know I’m having a blast with everyone here. I’ll try and blog again soon, but for now the REAL Frodo Bloggins is signing off. See you all Soon!
Ben
P.S. I’m the real Frodo Bloggins because I have the pictures of Mt. Doom during the time I’m Frodo
