Swags were swag, the outback was swag, we are swag.
We spent our nights sleeping under the brilliant southern hemisphere constellations and spending most nights trying to figure out constellations or looking for shooting stars. Shoutout to our fabulous tour guide, Dan. Dan showed us Uluru at sunset and sunrise, told us Aboriginal stories, took our fear of venomous spiders away, looked high and low for kangaroos, wild horses and camels and answered all the questions we had about the dry desert ahead of us. We took two hot sweaty hikes a day, many ended in a dive in gorgeous freshwater swimming holes or a super refreshing ice cream bar. Dinner was nothing short of gourmet, I would take Dan’s campfire cooking over Outback Steak House any day. The red rocks and unfamiliar bush inspired wonder to us all. Although we had amazing time hiking and exploring, a lot of our time was spent in the bus and that was consumed with amazing sites, naps, books and even the occasional dance party (sorry Dan!) We returned to Alice Springs with no clean clothes, extremely tired and probably very smelly, but our Way Outback Adventure was definitely a huge highlight of our trip.

Much Love, Hannah and Margo
