Hola Team Maya!
This is the first post on the blog we will take turns writing for throughout the semester. The blog is a way to let friends and family know about our adventures, share experiences, opinions, and some photos.
This is Rachael and Matt writing from Portland. We are in the midst of training and prepping for our trip. We spent last week camping, doing team building activities with the other OE teams, learning about everything Carpe Diem, and playing games around a campfire!
We are now back in the city embarking on very full days of training, getting to know each other, and getting ready to meet you!
We are feeling very excited and a wee bit anxious about coming travel. We can’t wait to get to know you, study Spanish together, learn about sustainability, try out surfing, eat new foods, etc etc we will do all the cool things together!
We hope you are closing your summer in a nourishing, restful way and that you are feeling excited and maybe a little nervous to start this trip! Can’t wait to meet you in LAX at Avianca check in desk in Terminal 3 by 8:30 pm. We will be there by 7:30 so feel free to arrive early!
