A big ‘Sawasdee’ from your leaders Topher and Lindsay!
In one short week, we’ll be meeting your smiling faces in San Francisco and we couldn’t be more thrilled about it! Perhaps you’re all wondering what we’ve been doing to pass the time until then. We’ve spent the last week in Portland, getting to know each other, and basking in the stellar company of our fellow group leaders and the Portland staff. In between riveting training sessions we’ve been eating our own weight in food, posing with our faces in every cardboard cutout we can find (see attached pic, and be advised that in real life, Topher doesn’t bare his teeth so ferociously), and contemplating all of the good times we’ll inevitably share with you this semester. We just returned from a three-day camping trip that was centered around all of the ways we can make this a fulfilling and awesome trip for everyone we are welcoming aboard. We are confident that with your help, our semester will be full of impactful moments, both big and small, that will enrich the body, mind, and soul!
We really enjoyed connecting with each of you briefly via phone calls, but we know the real fun starts when we can finally meet you face-to-face, hear about your summer adventures, and start our very own collective adventure.
