We have all arrived safe and sound to the beautiful pacific northwest! Today was full of travel and excitement as students arrived to the Jennings Retreat Center where we all got to know each other a bit. After a delicious curry dinner we familiarized ourselves with the expectations, policies and logistics of the Latitudes program and Carpe Diem. Lights out was scheduled for 10 and we were able to end early to have some time to rest and settle in to gear up for a big day tomorrow. Our one-on-one meetings with students will begin and we have a variety of wonderful workshops and activities planned for the group while they are not in meetings. Some highlights include: a service project of creating a mosaic for Carpe Mundi, the non-profit sector of Carpe Diem, learning about Leadership and Intention for the upcoming year, dialing in logistics about Portland State University credits, and more. We are so excited to finally put faces to names and get to know each student. The process has begun and the buzz is in the air. After a good night’s rest, we will dive in tomorrow after breakfast and will update you all with more good news- stay posted!
