HEY!
Sup? we´re in Costa Rica! We spent the last week in beautiful San Juan Del Sur, at Playa Madera. We stayed at a sweet ec0-art hostel called Parque Maderas, which is owned and run by Tyler, Ethan´s childhood friend. Tyler´s dream was to build the hostel right on the ocean and it is one of the coolest places that we have been so far. We felt really at home their with all of their hospitality. We spent the week volunteering at a local school, working with the kids to build a compost bin for the community, and teaching english to the students. During our free time when we weren´t volunteering, most of us spent out time on the beach and learning how to surf. Surfing has become one of our favorite past times!
We are all feeling a bit sentimental as we enter the second to last leg of our journey. Excited to be home for the holidays, but very sadto be leaving our new friends. Luckily, we had Tyler and his crew to help us bring Thanksgiving to Nicaragua… a few days early. For our final dinner in Nicaragua, Tyler fixed us a turkey, mashed potatoes, and more, making us a Thanksgiving we will never forget.
Happy Thanksgiving to all back at home! We are all so thankful to have this amazing opportunity and we will forever be greatful.
