Me llamo Maria

Hola. My llamas name is maria. Soooooooo we may or may not have been slacking hardcore in the blogging aspect of this trip. Two weeks ago we chilled in Matagalpa and stayed with host families while also going to Spanish school. Pretty good gallo pinto if I do say so myself. We spent the week looking at tall buildings and learning about the canal that will be going through Lake Nicaragua (Insert very angry students). We also learned that a whole bag of oreos is only 50c!!!! So yes, we all got fat. The Spanish school in Matagalpa also provided cooking classes and dance classes where Ben dominated the dance floor. The home stay homes were pretty awesome in the sense that my host mom didn't make me go to school when I had tummy problems 🙂 We then ventured to the fabulous town of La Concepcion and continued our last full week of Spanish classes at La Mariposa Spanish school. Lots of horses to smell and roosters to yell at in the wee hours of the mourning. The showers were super warm and the food was all vegetarian. We spent the day volunteering teaching English, or petting monkeys, or making bread. Definitely a great school to learn Spanish at. The Spanish school had all day access to the animal reserve which had pretty bunny's and a lot of parrots. It was sad to go because we all adopted dogs, but it was nice to get moving once again to the small surf town of Gigante. So now that you are up to date in, please imagine a bunch of gringos being destroyed by the waves and sun burnt all over. Chai!!!!!!
