After four long educational days, most of the students are now SCUBA certified! The first two days we had classwork and practice in a pool, then for the third day we headed over to Fitzroy Island and did couple of beach dives. We stayed at the resort on Fitzroy for one night and got to enjoy the luxury of a real hotel. For dinner we all put on our nice outfits and ate at the hotel’s bar and grill. The fourth day we headed out early on a dive boat and saw the magnificence that the Great Barrier Reef has to offer in our final two dives. The students that didn’t wish to receive an open water certification still took advantage of the opportunity to see the reef by snorkeling and/or going on guided fun dives. At the end of the day we all got to experience the magic of that underwater world.
